Guest chronomat123
Can you tell which is rep and which is gen? I just got my "closed factory" Seamaster Pro (thanks, Jeff!), and I must say-- I am extremely impressed. I will post a more in-depth comparison between the rep and gen Seamaster Pro soon, but I thought I'd share these with you. I fixed the misaligned bezel on the replica and gave the case & bracelet a bit of shine with some Brasso: Those are the only mods. This thing is scary. I can already tell my gen Seamaster Chrono will be getting less wrist time And here's a quick and dirty of my collection minus my gen Breitling Headwind which is currently being fixed and my gen Speedmaster Pro which was on the wrist. One of the Seamaster Bonds is my father's gen, the other is my rep, and the chronograph is genuine.
Jetsons
Nice pair, chrono. I would take the one on the right. The gen also has a terrific movement which is an added plus. Execellent collection.
omega1
Gen is on the right. Give aways for me were: Pearl Date window (gen is rectangular, while the rep is more square) Thickness of dial minute markers Caseback (gen is more flat, while rep is more domed) Otherwise, its a pretty good rep! dariusp
Gen is on the right. I looked at the valve at the 10 marker. Slightly off center on the right.
bigpops
Just a quick point. The old "Closed factory" never made that model (non 007). That model came out in February 2005, which was a couple of months after the "closed factory" reps dried up.
spa
Crown guards on the rep of this SMP 300 scream: "fake". The biggest flaw on this model in my opinion... Otherwise a good rep.
techd
The font on the clasp for Professional is also wrong, that's what I noticed first actually.
