  1. EDIT: dluddy and Slai beat me to it.
  2. If the seller was the one that provided the reference number (and he got it from the caseback), then it is a rep. CAF2010 is for the black dial. The silver dial is CAF2011. The blue, silver and black reps all share the same caseback with CAF2010 as the number (which is only correct for the black one).
  3. Yep, fake. Model number is wrong (CAF2010 is for the black dial) and the gen comes with a square inner box, not a round one. Reported.
  4. My controls-->options-->board settings-->board display settings-->turn off avatars-->change my account options Thank you for your comprehension
  5. I too am using a Powershot (A630 to be exact). I guess I will play with the lighting somemore. My issue is that while my shots seem to be OK, I always seem to be able to see the crystal. For instance (see below collage of your's and mine). Look at mine. You can see that the crystal has sort of a haze on it (reflection), while on your pic you can't see the crystal at all! Thats the shot that I am looking for, where it looks like there is not even a crystal present. I'll try some different angles or maybe try to difuss the light a bit better. Thanks!
  6. By-Tor, Sorry to be off-topic, but that pic is just absolutely amazing quality. I have tried all kinds of different settings on my camera (not an SLR, but still has lots of great functions) and I still can't mimic that quality. Did you use a polarizing filter for that shot?
  7. A couple of quick shots of my gen Aquaracer:
  8. Exactly! Also, the inner bezel ring on the rep is painted blue, while inner bezel on my gen is annodized. I will stop pointing out differences for a bit. I'll let others chime in before I say everything that I saw. But I must say, aside from the dial color it is VERY hard to tell the rep from gen unless they are side by side.
  9. Hi doc, this was just a quick lunch break meet to do a quick comparison. Matter of fact, the pictures were taken on the dash board of his car! World Traveler and I will get together again and try to do a full photo shoot from all angles for everyone to see.
  10. Hi By-Tor, the color is definately the dial, not the AR. It appears that the rep dial is about 2 shades darker then the gen.
  11. You are absolutly correct about the dial color, but the rep is not always on the right! We switched them up a couple of times to see who we could fool. For the record, my gen is the one with the 1:40 time. @World Traveler----good times! We will have do it again. Thanks for posting the pics up
  12. Hello, I have a great guy that I go to in NoVa (Herdon to be specific). He has no issues working on reps. He has serviced 2 of mine thus far (with ETA's) and his work is great and prices are fair. PM me if you would like some info.
  13. Another fabulous review By-Tor. Thanks for taking the time to do it. Just a quick note about the case back engravings. While they are close, they are not correct. 2010 is for the black dial, and the blue dial should be 2012.
  14. Oh, and I would take the one on the right. The braclet on the left one just does not look quite right for some reason.
  15. Funny, they look aligned correctly to me....
  16. This was her second offence. She had already been caught driving on the same suspension period once before.
  17. Hi sssurfer, As I said in the other thread, the 090 movement is indeed an ST-25 based movement. The actual caliber is ST-2530. It used to be listed on Seagulls site, but I do not know why it is not any longer. Interestingly enough, if you do a search for the ST-2530. you come up emply handed with the exception of THIS. The 3rd post down (from Chascomm) had links to the pictures of the 2530. Also interesting is if you search for TY-2530, you come up with watches that have the same layout as the 090 as seen HERE, which goes back to what you were saying about them being re-named.
  18. Just right click on the link and select "open in new window". EDIT: Nevermind, just noticed you said without right clicking.
  19. I do believe that it is the ST-2530. Not sure why it is not on Seagull's site any longer though.
  20. As long as the screw still has a deep enough groove to get some bite, I would take a pencil type soldering iron and try heating up the surrounding area a bit in hopes of expanding the metal just enough to loosen it up. A 40 watt iron should do the trick and you can pick them up from Radio Shack for like $15.
  21. EXCELLENT post The Zigmeister. Thanks for taking the time to do it!

I have Trusty's 090 with the 21J (Seagull ST-25) and it performs flawlessly. After regulating it, it is rock solid stable at +1 per day on the wrist. The only thing I did to it was to fix the
  23. I agree with you on that one eddhead. I served in the US Marines and saw combat 2 times. It was an absolute nerve racking experience, even with the combat training that I had been given. A 9mm gunshot is LOUD. Put that ear piercing sound in an enclosed environment like a classroom and the results are utterly disorientating for anyone not wearing hearing protection. The shot will cause the inner ear to swell, affecting the equilibrium. I don
  24. I will say that I have mixed feelings about that scenario. Coming from a family where I was raised to respect firearms, and always keep them locked up, it saddens me greatly when I hear about accidental shootings (kids showing it off to their friends or what have you). To me, it was the gun owner
  25. Contrary to what you may think, the majority of law abiding gun owners don
