PAM 111 noob V3 couple of questions

I bought one of these from a member on another forum.

I'm not hugely familiar with it so I have a couple questions.

Is the crown guard brushed or polished?

It needs a new one.

Can the buckle be removed from the strap? I want to get a different strap and as I don't have it yet, thought I would ask so I can order something in advance.

Saw the one you picked up congrats!, CG is brushed and the buckle will depend on the strap you get. OEM will have a 22mm buckle and after market is 24mm since Panerai supposedly doesn't make 24mm buckles. Good luck and congrats.

I should tell you though, the 111 was my first Pam... they have since taken over the watch box

And im not alone in this.. its called the Pam bug.
