cterblan
I am a complete Noob, so please forgive my ignorance. I recently bought an Explorer II from a trusted dealer and I absolutely loved it. The problem is now that movement has stopped working - it sounded like something broke off and now there is nothing. It is lifeless.Any suggestions on what can be done?
SSTEEL
From what you say, its possible the rotor (oscillating weight) has come off the auto wind bridge. How old is the watch? Best to get someone who is rep friendly to take a look for you because as it is, the rotor banging around within the case can cause even more problems for you. cterblan
I think that is exactly what happened. It was the weight inside as i was flicking my wrist one day and heard something break. The watch is only a few months old. Any way to fix this? gingerr6
If it's the rotor it's easy. Remove the back. Find the screw and reattach no expertiane needed just a 1.2mm or close screwdriver. SSTEEL
As above, or, if the auto wind bridge has actually come off the movement along with the rotor still attached, this is a little more tricky for someone unsure of what they are doing as you can cause damage to the gear teeth if screwed down incorrectly. cterblan
That was the problem. Opened her up tonight and the screw came loose. I put it back on and she is as good as new. Thanks for the help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
