Physher007
I recently purchased this watch off Ebay - it was a spontaneous buy so I didn't do the sort of research I generally do. Now I have a watch, the origins of witch are a mystery. There doesn't appear to be any hallmarks on either the watch or the fob, just the swiss made at the bottom of the dial and on the movement. Anyone out there able to help me? I sure would appreciate any information you might have Thanks Gents -Mike
RWG Technical
It appears to be a good quality movement from the pics, but who makes it, and what exactly it is, I can't say... If you look under the balance with a loupe, you should be able to see a hallmark and maybe some numbers?? The movement would appear to be from the early 1900's from the look of the balance and jewels. RG
gran
Interesting it does not have sub-seconds like many pocket watches. Is it supposed to have a central seconds hand that is now missing?
Physher007
It doesn't appear that way to me, though I am by means experienced with this sort of thing. I suppose there should be some remnants of the second hand no? Unfortunately, the watch isn't running at this point so its hard to say how its supposed to work
RWG Technical
No center seconds on this model, you can tell by the gear design... RG
Physher007
I managed to get a pretty good look under the balance and the only inscription I could find was "ST"... I can't imagine this helps but...
