Is this AP rubber gen?

Just purchased off eBay from reputable seller for my Noob V4 AP FC. I've never seen anything gen AP in real life. Can anyone tell me is this gen? Markings are bolder crisper and rubber feels slightly softer. Thanks!

28mm strap? Put it on your rep JF and there should be a slight gap. If there is no gap then it’s a rep rubber strap.

No that's never an indication on the bay when someone's a thief. I paid $300 which is a steal. Brand new sealed is $500 and up. Just did the test above and it's gen! I don't like the gap so back it goes. Thanks.

If you have a jf case bro, either the straps or case can be modded to make both fit. I've done so before.

It can be modded to fit too but can I know what the issue is please, when you mentioned that it does not fit?

Thanks I didn't know that. Unfortunately I'm no modder or Watchsmith. I can do very minor work i.e. strap or battery changes. Don't know of any CONUS modders. After comparing the straps I don't see a huge difference, not sure it's worth the hassle of getting it modded.

I had a gen rubber strap but didnt fit the Noob V4 very well, maybe I bought the earlier V4 which they have not updated the case.

 

Gen strap doesnt go with JF, you wont be able to fit them in directly. Not sure what modifications one will need to do.

 

The difference between gen and rep rubber is tremendous, the gen rubber will get glossier and the grain effects will become more prominent after some wear. The rep rubber remains rough and matte with little grain. The gen also has a deep black colour compared to rep rubber.
