ck986 Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 I sent my Pam 183 to Vaccum early this month and just received the watch and man the watch looks great. I asked Vaccum to do a full service on my swiss 183H. He relumed the watch, changed out the cannon pinion, polished the cannon pinion, changed hands, and fully serviced the watch. Vaccum's work is top notch. Here are a few pics

Dario33 Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 I love the 183, but am on the fence because of the potential crown issues. Have you had any? (Vaccum did a great job, btw)
wadan Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 I love the 183, but am on the fence because of the potential crown issues. Have you had any? (Vaccum did a great job, btw) Man ,,,,, Ihad the same ,,,crown threads streped off twice on 2 different reps and the 3rd is hanging on by a hair ,,, I wonder if Davidson crowns are different , I am not sure they will fit non Davidson reps Cheers

mrnixon Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 (edited) I love the 183, but am on the fence because of the potential crown issues. Have you had any? (Vaccum did a great job, btw) I also like the model but the potential crown problems is what stop more from buying it. Would be interesting hearing some feedback from people with the models from Andrew, Joshua and Davidsen. Also, what happens if/when you wear it out? Are you still able to wind it and use it as usual as any regular manual watch with a regular non screw-crown, or will the crown stick out to much? Edited March 7, 2007 by mrnixon
