Just moved to France, any help/clues on customs..

... as a total newbie here in France, I am pretty uncomfortable buying anything from the usual suspects, Trusty, PT etc.

There is no hell. There is only France.

 

I would not be worried to buy from the usual suspects. It is Europe. Only advice is to know the custom rules and regulations cocerning packages coming from outside Europe and if ther is VAT (or the like) on good costing more than a certain sum in cae you are asked to prove the value of whats inside the package.
