FlipLockBuckle Posted January 26, 2007 Report Posted January 26, 2007 Hey friends, I recently bought a new watch....a Yachtmaster Rolesium. It's near perfect, keeps good time, is in very good shape, has perfect crownguards, a high quality dial + bezel.... ...the only flaw i could find is that the crystal is slightly misaligned. It's not much, but the datewindow is not centered in the cyclops, and the laser crown is also 0.5mm off center. Does anyone know how i could fix that without taking the whole crystal out? I bought a crystal press, but the guy i got it from told me that it will crack crystals with cyclops. I hope that anyone of you guys does have a solution! Regards, Danny
jdavis Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 You will have to remove the crystal to correct this problem. It really isn't that difficult....here is how: Read Edge's sticky at the top of the page on how to disassemble a sub (everything here applies to a YM as well). Before you start, mark the exact location on the bezel with tape where you want the cyclops and etched crown to be. Once the watch is apart. place the crystal and align the cyclops with your tape markers. Press in the crystal as Edge describes (you most likely will not need a crystal press for this). Good luck!
