Danae.
Obviously a bad rep for anal collectors like us, but what a shame...! By-tor (for example) could be a better consultant working for Antiquarium that present. http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=msg...418#msg_2473633

Oszolom
I am not suprised. Antiqorum on several auctions used to list same, evidently faked Fifty-Phatom Blancpain Aqua Lung... same as I was offered to buy locally as a gen: And here one nostalgic shot with Blade's board (R.I.P.) layout in the background:
docblackrock
Thanks for that, to be honest, there were rumblings at the last sale in Geneva last May, about the presence of at least one suspect lot. It's not that uncommon suprisingly, but the lots are usually pulled at the last minute. But this one went all the way - jeez, 20,000 euros for a fake! What shocks me is not that AQ as an auction house verified this lot as genuine (auctioneer "experts" are anything but), but that the Omega archive did in the face of such overwhelming evidence to the contrary. I smell legal involvement here and a swift brush under the carpet - admit nothing and IF the buyer complains, offer a refund and all will be settled nice and quietly in-house. Those responsible will be dealt with, quietly, at another time. Reputations are everything, and to admit such a massive mistake would be a problem. Honesty doesn't pay it seems.
