Anyone have any idea how to fix this??

Not the only dial flaw... the number '12' of the GMT marker should be in between the L Swiss Made L.. .not above....

Maybe vacuum here can add on the marker.. not sure.. ask him

I know its not the only flaw but the number '12' of the GMT marker flaw cant be fixed.

The missing 9 oclock marker can be fixed. but how??

I was interested in fixing the opposite flaw on the 196 ("6" marker is to long) and my prudent watchsmith recommended against it. To make the additional mark I suspect you would have to make an exact channel in the dial to hold the lume while drying and to help hold the lume in place over the long term. Perhaps a little work with a swiss file and then fill in with super lume? If you try it you would definitely want to do a relume to match up the glow. The channel would also help this issue as different amounts of lume over the same surface area appear to impact the duration of the glow. :)

As far as i can see this area does not have Lume.

check out member Rolli's post with lume pics http://www.rwg.cc/members/Pam-089-Ti-Gmt-T...ots-t20040.html

you can see the opposite site at 3 oclock doesnt glow so its not lumed

Maybe i can simply draw a thin white line on the dial??

any ideas??

You could make a marker with a black oiler and some paint, would take a delicate touch under a loupe to make one, and a steady hand...

Somewhat risky.

RG

Sounds like your the man to do it Rob???

Ill drop you an email when i get the watch and get a relume while im at it

maybe u see something i dont see but i have looked at about 3 genuines in this '12' gmt marker and all 3 of them is above the LSWISSL on the dial and not in between just like the replica so i dont think this is a flaw unless there is an older genuine out

care to explain or find me some pics of the genuine with it in between the LSWISSL

thanks

joe
