chris5264 Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 I thought this would be easy and I so far have ordered a day dial, but it looks like there are more parts than just this. Will I need a day jumper and day jumper spring? (these seemed like related parts I found from a parts list). No,,,I have no idea what I'm doing, I thought the day dial would just drop in.
RWG Technical Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 The movement requires disassembly to install the parts, and the movement has to be the type that can accept a day wheel... there is a spring needed, a jumper and cooresponding pivot, the day driving wheel etc... Removing the calendar platform bridge, and re-installing it, is one of the most difficult parts to assemble on a 7750, unless you have done it before, it's a excercise in frustration... RG
chris5264 Posted February 10, 2007 Author Report Posted February 10, 2007 I've lost track of how many times I've thanked The Zigmeister for his help,,,,,,here is one more. In this case, thanks for letting me know I was way over my head on this project. Now,,,,,what to do. 1) find another dial that only displays the date or 2) find something to fill that hole in the dial.......
RWG Technical Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 Don't know on that one...only you can decide... I have lots of 7750 parts on hand and can most likely retrofit yours to have a day and date...your call if all else fails... RG
