Schlafgraf
Hi everybody, when changing the time to DST (finally !) the crown on my Pannie came loose and is no longer sitting in the tube. I have attached a photo. I am not experienced with watch repair, and I do not want to have it repaired by a watch smith as they might make trouble with a rep. Is there a guide how to do the repair myself ? Anybody has an idea ? Thanks
new & improved osteopath
This is a simple repair, if you have the tools- a case opener, and a fine screwdriver. Assuming you do, simply open the case- look at the back of the movement where the crown enters the case. There is a small screw closest to the opening on the case- loosen it a turn or two, press the stem/crown comboination into the case, and re-tighten the screw. 1) Dont breath on the movement (moisture will gum it up). 2) Try to work where there is little dust as possible. Replace the back, the cg, and TA DA! ur done. -O
Schlafgraf
Thank´s very much. I will try that once I have received my case-opener. I will keep you updated. Thanks
