Hands Not Progressing After Replacing Dial.

I recently swapped to a gen dial and hands on a SMP and after replacing the hands, the hands dont progress at all. The second hand is fine but the time doesnt move. They turn fine with the crown. Any ideas?

Ya I cant think what it could be. I forgot to mention, when i popped the dial off the movement the little tube that the hands click onto along with a wheel came off. I replaced them and they seem grand. The little circular springgy thing is a little shook but as I said they work perfectly when turning with the crown and the second hand works.

You have disconnected the cannon pinion from the wheel that drives it.

You have to re-insert the cannon pin tube into the cannon gear wheel for it to work again.

Thanks Rob. I have sent it into my local watchsmith and he will let me know friday. I may send it to you next week if he doesn't fix it but it sounds ok so Im hoping! Thanks for the reply. I appreciate the expertise and apologize for tormenting you with annoying questions!
