thelawnmowerman Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 The problem that some members (including myself) have with the winder not catching or engaging the winding mechanism when you pull out or unscrew the crown , it seems to be a common problem , does anyone know if its easy to fix? I tried winding it CCW and then CW but with no luck. Its an SMP chrono by the way.

The sprung part is too weak, and the stem lock doesn't work at all...the fix is to replace the crown and tube with a genuine one. This is my SMP with the new Genuine Omega crown and tube. Wearing it today, and it works amazing since I fixed it... RG
