  1. John, I understand and agree with some of your comments, maybe I was caught on a bad day yesterday , I dont know, but fact remains people are fed up with noobs who arnt prepared to read or research anything and then whinge or have a public hissy fit in open forum, threatening this and threatening that when things dont go their way. Last week I wanted some more watches I've researched what I want, and what versions I want in the previous weeks, I emailed Angus and another up and coming dealer from another forum, the other dealer got back to me with some great prices, Angus did not , even though he was away and supposed to be getting business looked after by his partner, I got no reply , no major one for me he lost out on a deal for $2000. And if any of the watches have problems I shall sort it out via PM or email, not lambasting him in open forum, before he's got chance to put things right for me, this is the way I've dealt with all the dealers since coming to the forums, and by doing it this way in private I've had not one bad deal in at least 30 purchases of mostly high end reps. Point being I did this all on my own by reading and researching first, and communication, not wading in first with my size 12s thats not the way to get things done, IN ANY BUSINESS. I've run my own company quite sucessfully for nearly 20 years and when people have treated me anything less than respectfully , they get f**k all out of me, and they get the bad attitude right back at them, this is the way life and business is in general not just on these forums. Noobs, please read and take this in, and I APOLOGISE for my comments made during one of my not so good moments, but you cant treat people like that and expect to get anything done fast.
  2. Walmart reply might be old and tired , but never more relevant, just tired of reading the same crap from impatient buyers, threatening chargebacks when they dont get the communication or delivery time that they want, Our dealers dont do Paypal anymore cos of this , when I came to these forums most of them took Paypal and the chargebacks now mean that they cant because accounts get frozen and all monies lost, Because of this our payment options are more limited , so we have to hand out our card details over the net. Mines been compromised twice now, once by Yanks and the other by the Chinese. I know there are other payment options their just not as convenient.
  3. @alienfromneptune: Pardon Angus for having a life , the guy said he was gonna be away for a bit and he spent a little longer, and you post crap like this, GO buy from Walmart
  4. Just make it clear to him that you want that version with the pins in bracelet and the lume marker at 3oclock, as there are versions about without the lume marker,
  5. The movt is ok but the crystals explode.
  6. Why wont it accept a SS bracelet , I have a 029 and mine has a bracelet on it .
  7. Yeah lifes a [censored] sometimes, I'll just have to make do with pins.LOL
  8. I asked Reg (Narikaa) on his last visit to BKK to get me an SMP with 3oclock lume marker, good centralised bezel pearl , ETA, etc,and what he came back with I can only describe as stunning, and no screws in bracelet . dont know if it was lucky or what , I was expecting it to have screws.
  9. I have both, and their both very good , the chrono has an issue with the crown and crown tube ( difficult to engage the winding mechanism, and find the correct notch to set date), and if you go for the non chrono depending on who you get it from you could get a bracelet with pins, I did and this was only last month, also make sure theres a 3oclock lume marker, Oh and go for the ETA.
  10. I've seen them in person and their really quite good, and definetly worth the money.
  11. Craytonic what colour is your VC
  12. Can you let me know who has the other 'current dial?' please and secondly whoever has it, is their white dial better in the areas you mentioned , as I have too many black dial watches , Ingenieur, Nautilus, APRO jumbo etc, you advice would be appreciated.
  13. I'm waiting for a reply back from one of my trusted dealer to say if he can get me one of these beauts, I tried a 46mm one on yesterday and it was probably a little too big, (certainly in the stainless steel version anyway), the black case I could of lived with but I'm wanting the 42mm version as it should be a perfect fit. On a slightly different note I ordered a Bell and Ross catalogue the other day and it should be here any day now, cant wait.
  14. Narikaa, he's a great guy to deal with, never, ever have I heard anyone deride him,
  15. I too came to this scene too late for one of the better ones but I just got one @ the weekend from one of our dealers, I gave very specific instructions Swiss ETA Lume marker at 3oclock bezel pearl central in the triangle ( I've seen some awful ones) He got me one with all of the above, and a big bonus was that it had pins in the bracelet and not screws as I was expecting, I'm well pleased with it .
  16. Great review Emuozz, have to agree about this watch it sits so nicely on the wrist you hardly know its there, difficult to explain to someone who hasnt got one but, I think its down to the thickness (or lack of it), probably my best rep .
  17. Alant , I've taken it to mean hat their both MBKs, its just that people call them MBWs, MBW was only a name that was used when Maria was selling them, I may be wrong its just the way I interpreted it, the Nautilus is 43mm.
  18. Good question Chronus , I'd like to know this as I'm not sure which version to get.
  19. No pics but its a gold coloured ETA movt with AP logo and an oak leaf either side of it.
  20. Mezzanine I bought both at the same time I got the AP with display back and the Nauty with black dial, Their two of the best reps out there at the moment, If I had to choose I say get the AP but theres really nothing in it just personal preference both of them just scream class at everyone.
  21. @ trioslescano I said APRO not APRO offshore, the RO as you may or not Know has no second hand, and I stand by what i said regarding build quality , I never mentioned 'fidelity to Gen' allthough you would probably never get called on any of the flaws on either of these 2 MBWs as most people have never even seen a gen and there are so many incarnations of the gen for it to be a problem.
  22. Its possibly one of the best in terms of build quality, along with the APRO.
  23. The AP and the UPO are two very different watches, I have them both and they are both good choices , the PO is very well made and out of the box a very close rep except for the lack of double A/R but the AP is in a different league in terms of build quality and is also very close except for the gold screws in the bezel , mine also has the display back . cant choose for you , but hope this helps.
