  1. Top ten Reps I have aqquired 5 of the reps this year that are in the top ten, and I will give you my comments on them . Tag heuer Link chrono........ almost perfect in my opinion, it really has to be seen and felt to be beleived, Flaws..datewheel is a little misaligned (better on some numbers than others.) Franck Muller Conquistador.... I got one of these a few months ago , unfortunately it kept awful time and couldnt be regulated(this was just my watch and not a normal problem) dealer swapped it for a different watch cos I asked him nicely. flaws... the bracelet is awful get a strap, its way too bling and is cheesy. IWC Ingenieur...... awesome rep with real presence on the wrist, I've worn it into several ADs no problem. Flaws ... date font is wrong (its not that bad and no-one will notice beleive me) Seamaster chrono...... excellent rep but not quite as good as the Link. bezel alignment (easy fix)... screws in bracelet (again easy fix.. buy a replacement ) also 2 different date fonts (get the right one) Seamaster Planet Ocean 45.5mm Ultimate (I dont know what edition you wanna call it but its Joshes latest) Flaws ... almost flawless cept maybe for the logo (you wont notice it without a loupe) one heavy mother of a watch. Hope this helps
  2. LOL I sent it back to the dealer PT and he's sorted it out for me. thanks for the advice guys
  3. Beautiful. I would like one too , it would be good to have the choice between strap and SS. wear it well.
  4. You might wanna contact PT , or Narikaa , their both in the UK and both fine dealers that come highly recommended.
  5. Just plain greedy Flavor flav , having both that is. Seriously though , nice watches. Which is favourite , black or white? Silix said he would provide me with a dial with the correct cross to cut off and put on this dial for $36 , but I aint bought the VC yet. How do you think these watches compare with the Ingenieur?
  6. Can you enlighten us as to where you sourced this beauty from?
  7. Is this fake screw thing gonna be an issue on the 46mm?
  8. There are always TWO sides to every story . If someone is going to quote what someone else has said ,is it not a good idea to quote it word for word , not selectivly to get people to side with you.
  9. JK I dont believe its your dial that [censored] its the bezel, and its quite common for these to be that way ,If you get a Jaxa type caseback remover you can straighten it, takes all of 5 seconds.
  10. I'm also fom Uk liverpool to be more precise. Glad to know you I can thoroughly recomend Precious Time, he's in UK. Top Guy.
  11. Nice --- I've just ordered mine from River ,, cant wait.
  12. how does the LV compare with black , I want to get the LV but I'm worried that it'll stand out just a little too much.
  13. This is a great review , and I'm warming to these Subs all the time, think I'll eventually go for the LV though, Also I'm not sure I can go for the asian ,I think I'd rather pay the extra and go for the ETA,. Still cant make up my mind who to get it from though, I've got it down to 2 dealers
  14. Not sure what to make of these group buys , with regard to the bezel being rotated out of symetry , its a quick fix with a Jaxa type caseback opener most of them come with the bezel out to a small degree . I can tell you that you guys who are waiting on your watches, you are in for a treat , I've had mine for 4 weeks now and it is , I beleive , the best and most accurate rep you can buy at the moment. the main issues are the date font and the caseback is a little sharp around the slots that you insert the caseback opener into , its an easy fix with a dremel but only if your realy 'anal' ( I didnt bother ). ENJOY
  15. When some thing like that happens ( stolen in the post) its when you find out how good your dealer is , it happened to me with the first watch I ordered from a certain dealer , I was well [censored] but he agreed to replace it at 50% +shipping , which aint the best deal in the world but its better than stumping up the whole cost again. how many times has it been said 'buy the dealer first'
  16. Thanks The Zigmeister I have contacted the dealer He has already told me to run it and see if it settles down , I'm not so sure it will ,
  17. The Zigmeister I was hoping you could help me out with my problem, I have an FM conquistador alledgedly swiss ETA2892, which is running 2 minutes fast in 6 hours, how far dare I turn the adjusting screw , (I assume I must turn it to the minus ),can I turn it outside the confines of the scale printed around it, EG maybe a full turn. Thanks in advance
  18. I must be one of the lucky ones , Ijust looked at it with a 10 X lupe and it is not chipped, thanks for pointing this out guys.
  19. Linder did you do the cross swap yet , if you didnt is it definetly possible? how much was the dial ? thanks
  20. I couldnt wait for the answer so I tapped them out with one of the tools, and bent it , first pin came out quite easy but second one was a pain I ended up using my pin removing tool . didnt ralise there wa a thing to press in the middle of the link, any way its done and theres no damage , I only took a half link out. thanks
  21. I bought an IWC Ingenieur and need to remove a half link, I got these little tools with it like a little punch tool, do I just tap the pins out with them, and do they come out a certain way. thanks in advance
  22. I also have a Hirsch strap on my porto chrono , its the Hirsch Modena , looks great and was reasonably priced.
