What about the stem?

Well the title says it all. I've read Rob's break-downs and procedures on replacing the Asian with an ETA 7750 many times but I was wondering.....what about the stem? All the loose ETA 7750 movements come with this long threaded stem and a plastic crown of some kind.

- Do I need to shorten the ETA stem and remove the crown from the Asian stem and attach it to the ETA stem?

- Or do I simply use the old Asian 7750 stem?

Stems are all the same, should be able to use the old one.
