PAMman Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 Can anyone please explain how the rotating bezel is assembled on the rep Navitimer. I have one where the bezel is loose and can actually be lifted partially off the case. There seems to be 3? screws that hold the upper bezel onto a lower internal ring but I can't figure out how to get at them to tighten the whole slide rule / bezel up. Can anyone help please?
watchman12345 Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 Its quite difficult. The bezel cant be lifted off like a "traditional" bezel construction. To remove the bezel you have to remove he movement from the case and press out the crystal. Then remove the slide rule circle. The 3 screws are then visible. I sent mine to The Zigmeister to be honest but took apart an old navitimer and this is what I saw.
PAMman Posted March 28, 2007 Author Report Posted March 28, 2007 Thanks for the help, although maybe this sounds like something that I won't tackle myself.
watchman12345 Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 The screws looked messy on mine too. Another option is to install an o-ring under the bezel, but again removing the movement and crystal is a job you'd need to be competent at or you could ruin your watch.
