Gen 20mm Rubber strap on 4th Gen PO?

Would a Gen 20mm rubber strap fit on the 4th gen 42mm PO without modification? I've read to use the rep rubber strap on the 4th gen PO that addtional pin holes need to be drilled, closer to the watch case, as well as a locator hole in between the lugs, as covered in a post in this forum....would a Gen rubber strap fit (without gaps or the ends being pushed up) without modification to the watch....Is it the placement of the pin holes on the watch or the design of the rep rubber strap that requires the modification to marry the two? ...thanks for the advice....Im trying to shake my noobieness...

Yes it would... I know by personal experience... no problem at all.
