thomasng
I'm thinking about taking my GMT and modifying it closest to gen. I just want to list what we would need to do to it: 1) New datewheel 2) Cyclops 3) AR coating 4) ReLume 5) Palp Crown It's just I'm not sure about where to have AR caoting done. Is that it? I'm really looking forward to making this as close to gen, and I hope you guys are too, maybe another group discount?
ahchard
I am keen on a group mod... I have already ordered cyclops... need to find a datewheel... as for AR I read a thread in the old rwg about someone doing it...can't remember who.... thomasng
dont forget the gen rotor... Sorry, but that doesn't matter to me and I don't think it does to the majority of the people in this group buy. I have no intention of fooling a WIS with it anyways, since he/she would spot it before they whipped the caseback opener out already. There's no display back anyways, so there's no point. cwai02
dont forget the gen rotor... What's the point? I won't let anyone to open the case anyway.

Richard Tracy
I try to buy the most accurate out of the box, so I don't have to go through the mods thing unless absolutely necessary. Saves money for more watches... Plus, if I end up handcuffed to that curious and all knowing guy with the genuine version of my watch of the day.. as long as I don't take off mine and hand it to him with a loupe.. and a caliper... I should be fine.
yodaddynukka
i like to get mine as accurate as i can just to see the look on the face of one who owns a gen! nothing beats that feeling!!!

Richard Tracy
Seriously though,.... where you place your efforts is a personal choice, I'm amazed at what some have accomplished with their pieces,.. pretty much making them the real deal at a fraction of the price. Maybe one day, I will have the time to work all the issues out, right now however I'm just concentrating on obtaining the best models I can, for me, and I'm finding that there's more watches than I had anticipated... Well back to searching....
