I know there are Palpatine crowns, Lello crowns, but I am confused by this wealth of information. abakan Posted April 14, 2006 Report Share Posted April 14, 2006 It is not Palp's crown as I understand but another fellow who was working with Palp on them. I received one and it's a bit of a dissapointment. over at TRC there is a thread of what was advertised and what is being delivered. They screwed up the bevel again, it cuts into the body too deep. There are rumors that someone else is trying to do it properly. Apparently it is in prototype. No PM's as to who or what. If it happens we will all know and if it doesn't it didn't matter. I am planning to replace the crown on this 111H (image borrowed from PT, because I bought it from PT) I was thinking what the heck, it's going off to The Zigmeister for servicing and relume anyways, and if has any left, the recessed pin mod too. It looks as good or better than PAM's crown and there are often issues with installation of Lello crown's so I would wait. Someone who actually owns this watch should weigh in.
