ETA 7753 is an excellent movement and it is used in the gen. It is also getting difficult to independently source. Budget aside, the 7753 is definitely the pick of the litter.

Keep in mind that with the Asian 7750, a proper service will probably required and that will set you back an additional $200, plus. This will close the gap in the price difference.

Ok good to know. Probably worth to get the Swiss then. Can this watch be waterproofed?

on the PAM196 you should go with the Swiss 7753 - not just because of reliability but mostly because the date has the correct distance to the dial - not like the recessed date you get with the Asian 7750.
