hiker01 Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 (edited) I have a PAM064 with Asian 7750, 28800BPH. Haven't used it for a month, so today I took it out to wear, wound it and tried to set to todays date, but the date wheel does not move or engage. Any idea what could be wrong. I tried to adjust it at 3:00, 3:30, 4:00 and 4:30, but nothing seems to work. Thanks for any info!!! Edited May 29, 2007 by HikeUSA
RWG Technical Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 Common problem, the gear that engages the datewheel is not engaging...movement needs to be taken apart to fix it. Sometimes pulling the crown in and out a few times will engage it. RG

Highflyingclive Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 I'm not out to contradict the Zig... but did you try advancing the date by manually winding the watch 24 hours? It once worked for me...

That's not a contradiction, there are two separate gears that switch the date, the movement one, and the quickset one... One is driven by the movement, the other works on the stem only. RG
