Guest oBMTo
Is it possible to adjust the band without any special watch tools. Or would I be better off in going watch repair shop in the mall? Also, would I get any get grief for bringing in a replica to get a band adjusted into a watch repair shop?
Triodus
If you don't have the tools to push the pins out correctly, I would say that a trip to the mall watch band store is your best bet. Better safe than sorry trying to use the wrong tool for the job. Of course you do not Want to take your REP to an AD. The regular private jewelry repair/watchband shop is good. Zed
It should just have screws ?? I know some Omega reps have split pins but I think the SMP GMT has screws , if so get a small jewelers screw driver set and that's all you need .. Zed
Meridius
The Seamaster GMT I just received has split pins. Here are some photos in case we are talking about the same watch. All you need is a decent pin pushing tool to remove pins: My GMT: Pin Detail: Split Head top of pin: Arrows on bracelet telling you which way to push:
Zed
So like said if it does indeed have split pins you can get a pin pusher on eBay cheap , easy to use too .. You can also hammer them out with a plastic block and jewelers hammer also found on eBay ... Here is a site that shows you how to remove links: http://www.pmwf.com/Watches/WatchSchool/WS...pin%20bracelets Zed
