Rolex Sub Classic

Recommended Posts

Hi. I'm new to the website and am interested in some advice on repair. I just received my first rep a Classic Sub ETA movement and received it with a dimple/nick in the sapphire crystal as well as a very loose bezel. Can anyone suggest anyone on the site who does these sort of repairs, or IF these things can be repaired? I realize there are inherent risks when purchasing reps and I guess I'm having a somewhat shaky first buying experience. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Mick, RedBigJoe is who you're looking for. It's easy-squeasy to tighten up the bezel, and replacing the sapphire is not tough job either. RBJ can set you up.

This *is* a new model with sapphire right? The older ones are domed plexiglass...

Thanks so much for your reply Nanug. I'm not educated enought to know if it's an older model or not, but I bought it on perfect-clones and the description was 'sapphire crystal'. If knowing the movement makes desciphering between a newer or older model, the movement is ETA 2836-2.
