Either buy cheap or borrow for a little while... I want to practice taking it apart etc

I remember my first portable cassette player, took i think 6 D cells :p and I took it apart but when I put it back together, the case wouldnt close lol.... and I think i had spare screws... I dont really want to do that to my 1st rep.... not just yet :)

Yup, a wee bit sour.

Efficient though, covers off on two things I don't really like.

Sorry 8o8, you can ignore my vitriol, I'm not a fan of PAMs or the other subject of derision.

In my revised opinion, visit some flea market sales. Buy some old pocket watches and tear 'em down and put them back together again.

Repeat as long as it takes to get it into a routine. Paneri movements are usually about the same size as a pocket watch movement, perfect for a beginner and far less fustrating than a normal sized watch movement.

Good luck, post your results.
