Date not advancing on SMP black

Even after wearing the watch a full day or winding it 20 or so times, the next day I wake up the watch is still running but the date has not advanced. What could cause this?

This is the OMG0035 from trustytime that has the Asia Automatic 21J

What can I do to "help" it? Thanks.

I would say it was broken, is it new, if so ask Andrew to change it, if it is old do a movement swap., it could just need a clean inside but by the time a watch maker has done that you have surpassed the price of a new movement.
