m4rcus
Well, somehow I was able to scratch my gen Submariner's "virtually un-scratchable" sapphire crystal...a hairline scratch about 4 mm in length. I visited my AD and called a local Rolex service center and was told by both that the crystal needed to be replaced. According to them there is no way to buff out a scratch. I did some looking online and found the following article from Timezone: Timezone Article Has anyone tried this before? If so, can you recommend where I can get the diamond paste? Also, is there another way to repair this? Thanks in advance, Marcus
georgegrasser
I have never used it on a watch crystal. MTI www.mtixtl.com

I'm still hesitant on using it...anyone have some experience with diamond paste and watch crystals?
deltatahoe
are they going to charge you to replace the crystal? if not, you don't have much to lose. plus, if it really bothers you and you are going to send it off anyways, might as well give it a shot (be sure to be careful with the bezel though).... just my $0.02, deltatahoe

So, that's what I'm thinking...I'm leaning towards giving it a try.
