Star69 Posted August 9, 2007 Report Share Posted August 9, 2007 had some fun lately - but under the hood decided to tune my watches inside : left movement is from silix an my franken DJ - but serviced to shine - next a nice decorated ETA in a silix DJ case right the standard movement in an Explorer Rep. next step will be a Tudor movement in the Explorer Rep. somebody else here cares whats inside the watch ??? or am I crazy ? freddy333 Posted August 9, 2007 Report Share Posted August 9, 2007 The one on the left looks interesting, but I do not see the point in spending the time or effort to decorate a rep movement since anyone who knows enough about watches to be able to appreciate the decoration will probably know the difference between an ETA and a gen. I would either put the additional cost & energy into upgrading the rest of the watch (the parts that are visible from the outside) or buy a gen.
