Snow Dog
The current SMP Chrono is a more accurate looking rep, but the non-chrono has the better movement. True or false? Being a newbie I'm basing this off of a sticky thread that stated the Swiss 2824-2 is one of the best rep movements out there... and I know there have been complaints on the 7750. Conversely, the new chrono seems to be generally regarded as superior in overall appearance to the standard SMP (latest versions). Thoughts please. b16a2
You are correct. The SMP Chrono is one of the best reps available. If you buy it and have the mkovement segiced, there is no reason why it shouldn't last like a Swiss movement. I have one, it hasnt been serviced but has lasted well so far, I will get round to getting it serviced soon.

I ended up getting the SMP chrono and the Asian black GMT Seamaster (the one that everyone seems to think is a great rep for the $).
