911RS Posted August 16, 2007 Report Posted August 16, 2007 Josh's PAM036. Or is it pretty darn good already? thanks in advance
b16a2 Posted August 16, 2007 Report Posted August 16, 2007 I would say just a relume and if the strap isn't all that good, a different one to be almost spot on! Im sure the experts could add a few things to this.

I'm not trying to be flip: Unless you are a serious collector of rare genuine Panerai--or can put yourself over as one, nothing needs to be done to the watch. 99% of the people won't know rep from gen, and the .01% of the people who know what a PAM 36 is won't believe you own a watch that rare. If you insist, I believe you'll need the jewel sockets painted gold, sunburst gears, and (I think) remove any blue tint on the crystal. A lume job which simulates tritium would also be a must, that is if you can source the correct T Swiss dial.
Watchmeister Posted August 19, 2007 Report Posted August 19, 2007 What he said. And lest we forget - fix the "A". If you are intent on accuracy I would start with a solid back model.
Ptolomeo Posted August 19, 2007 Report Posted August 19, 2007 Ask Vaccum or another modder for a vintage lume. I don't know if the gen PAM036 had a single AR or not. Again, ask Vac or Flav. It's a great watch. Congrats
