freddy333
Valjoux 72 & variants run at 18000bph.
davethecat
Valjoux 72 & variants run at 18000bph. The 72 is a 18K a/H movement. The 726 and the 727 are 21.6K a/H. If you are trying to do a project watch, the difference in bph is of no consequence. The very small seconds register gives practically no clue as to bph. A much larger, longer seconds hand would allow you to count the seconds per minute. Hint: if you find yourself doing the latter, please check into you employer's EAP program. ;-)
freddy333
Dave -- I think it was just the 727 that ran at 21,600. This movement was fitted with a new balance and the beat was increased for greater precision. Previous 72x movements (including the 726) ran at 18,000. Guest avitt
I also believe that the 726 runs at 18,000 bph.
