Les Center Posted May 15, 2006 Report Posted May 15, 2006 When a rep description says "Water-Resistant" just what does that mean? Does it mean that if you are wearing it in the rain you're probably OK, but you definately shouldn't go swimming in it? And in some descriptions it says "Close at 6 and 9" I think. What's that mean? Les
crystalcranium Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 Water resistance means little. I know rep owners who wear them swimming with no problem and others who fog them washing their hands. Best bet is to avoid any water contact because without a repair warranty, where are you going to go? Close 6 and 9 refers to Rolex style fonts for the numbers in the date window.
