luisik Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 Sorry I can't help.. maybe Pugwash is an expert about computers.. why don't you PM him?
Guest TTK Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 Sorry Don...it's not an e-mail form....it's a Contact address card.....I've taken the standard Address card that is the defult one with Outlook and modified it so that it fits what I want to do.....but I don't seem to be able to set it as thedefault card....I can select it from the Personal folders libray....where I've published it to.....but when I open it....it opens with a contact's name and when I hit Save and New....it just opens it again with the same contact's name.
Pugwash Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 Sorry I can't help.. maybe Pugwash is an expert about computers.. why don't you PM him? Because it's 7 year old Windows software and I'm on a Mac. I'll fire up an emulator and see what I can figure out, though. If someone else sorts something out first, then I'll give up.

Ahhh, that is over my head Neil. Haven't tried to change the contact format, sorry!
Guest TTK Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 OK....here's what I'm doing......I'm creating a Contact database....I've designed a form with all the relevant fields on 2x tabs....Customer details and Order details.....I've set up the tab order and all the relevant values for each field.......published the form...as a 'blank' template.....and saved it in my Personal Library folders as a Contact form.....however when I select it and open it in Contacts.....it opens as a blank...then when I fill in the details....and save and open new.....it saves it...as John Smith..but opens a new card with all the same details...John Smith..and repeats that process every time I try tocreat a new record card...! I need to try and set the blank card as the default....but it saves John Smith....and opens a new blank card....which I can save as admin Smith.
jkerouac Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 Neil, I tinkered a bit with what I believe you are trying to do... but then decided that it might not even help you since I am on Outlook 2007 and have doen very little customizing with this or even previous versions. So much for the "solid experience" you were requesting. But I did a Web search and found this tutorial: Tutorial: Creating and distributing custom forms with Outlook . In particular the sections on Publishing and Making your new form the default look as if they are pertinent to the obstacle you are trying to overcome. I hope this helps. If not, I suggest a nip or two of whiskey. Heck, this recommendation stands even if the tutorial does help.
