wjlamp Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Have a look at www.mundopanerai.com Go to the Arktos 092 presentation and study the picture of the back of the watch. No limited production numbers 0-500. Is this the pic of a gen or a rep. The site is supposed to deal only with gens
wjlamp Posted October 27, 2007 Author Report Posted October 27, 2007 any link would help or a pic I think that you are right, so here it goes... http://www.mundopanerai.com/foro/viewtopic.php?t=545

archibald Posted October 27, 2007 Report Posted October 27, 2007 I think I see a production number, but it's very hard to find because of the angle of the picture. Let's see if this helps: If that's a rep, the Chinese have taken CNC engraving to a new level. Sadly, IMO that's a gen.

Arktos is supposed to be a limited production series with serials from 1 to 500. (eg 35/500). That's what is missing on the watch in this picture. Funny isn't it Any ideas?
t Posted October 27, 2007 Report Posted October 27, 2007 genuine number is refinished by computer or maybe this is a factory pic from Panerai (they are without limited number)
wjlamp Posted October 27, 2007 Author Report Posted October 27, 2007 genuine number is refinished by computer or maybe this is a factory pic from Panerai (they are without limited number) ...which means, that my first? generation Arktos is a replica to an existing piece ,either production, or pre production, or exhibition,or Mike Horn's first watch. With all respect to the genuine (replicated too ,off Mike Horn's watch) , and ultimate? replica owners, what's the true reference? The same goes and for ultimate 111 replica too. Three production batches, thee different pieces 1.All parts polished ( EF) 2.Crown guard brushed (HI) 3 Crown guard brushed, and movement with differing decoration ( GHI) Just hit the link below to see what I mean http://www.mundopanerai.com/foro/viewtopic.php?t=615
frankt Posted October 27, 2007 Report Posted October 27, 2007 The back of my asian movement rep is EXACTLY like that...Same in every respect... ;)
