replacing original breitling rep crystal with another

i was thinking of getting a sapphire crystal for my breitling rep. that has mineral crystal, and take it to a local watchmaker

so he can replace the cheap crystal with the sapphire.

can a local "ordinery" watchmaker can do such a thing with quality?

also, where i can get shapphire crystals? i've heard there are web sites that are selling these not too expensive.
