elwopo
There was a thread from a while back that talked about a clear coating that could be used to put a shine on an otherwise OK pearl. For some reason I think it cured with UV light....but that's just from bad memory. I've searched and can't find the post. Does anyone remember what this was? gioarmani
Drying with UV is crystal glue--not sure if you can get it thick enough for pearl use, as it thins out & blends in too much. Try GS Hypo cement. You'll need to do it under a mag loupe with a steady hand; don't worry if you botch it up--you can take a Q-tip dipped in nail polish to remove the wet hypo-cement. It's worked good on older my pearl's, but it really is worth the $ just to buy the already-varnished pearl inserts: https://www.watchmaterial.com/viewitem.asp?...eRange=0x999999
