What to you reccommend that I apply to my straps to clean & protect them? (I want something that won't darken the leather.)

Id say buy some transparent leather care product and you will be just fine

Even if there are any special meant for leather straps domectic accessiories I dont think they will make any difference to any typical oil, wax or some leather paste.
