I purchased a Pam homage watch from Davidsen. (it's the PVD one) He says it is a swiss movement. The movement he used highly resembles my Asian copy 6497 in a base Pam rep I have but his is without the panerai's stamped all over the bridges. Both have the squared edge crown wheel and the rachet wheel and no swan neck. I also have a Swiss copy Pam 111h. This watch differs from the other two movements in that it has beveled edge crown wheel and rachet wheel and has a swan neck. These are obvious differneces and there may be others. My question is....assuming the Swiss is not the real Swiss used in a Gen but a Asian copy of the Swiss movement, I wanted to know if I can swap the blued screws, swan neck (bridge and all), and CW and RW from the Swiss Pam 111 to my Swiss Davidsen. If so...any tips....especially with the Swan neck balance wheel hairspring? Perhaps just some of these mods are possible, which ones can not be done?

So they are interchangable......you just recommend taking it to someone.

Besides looks......will the proformance of my watch be improved or more accurate with the balance [censored] switch? How about the switch between the rachet and the crown wheel..is that possible also?

If you have not done any movement work, I don't recommend you try removing and installing the balance c0ck from one movemenet to another. Your chances of success are not good.

there would be no obviouse performance change as long as they all work at the same speed, the swans neck just makes fine regulation easier. As for ratchet and crown wheel should be easy, as long as you know what you are doing or are willing to learn from your mistakes

No, I never said anything about being interchangeable. I was only responding to to your request for tips.

I doubt that they are interchangeable at all (the balance and c0ck that is), I tried this one time, and 2 hours later, and every combination you can think of...I gave up...they are no where near the same movements.

I think your going to waste your time with the balance and c0ck assembly. The rest is probably interchangeable but no guarantee either...
