Jawo
I just received my Arktos from Andrew, and it is a beauty. I have discovered a flaw though, that I have never seen before. There are 2 small dents on both sides of the crown lever. It is smooth and I can't even feel it with my finger. Do you have any ideas? Andrew is going to see if he can ship me a replacement crown guard, so I trust this will be resolved. Here is a pic:
Watchmeister
Strange dents? Somebody whacked it. I am sure Andrew will send you another CG and they just screw right on and off. If he doesn't they are readily available from dealers.
pete2528ca
if they aren't deep, and what you can do in the mean time is get some emery cloth, and some fine sand paper and sand/buff them out. i had some dents in a crown guard on the edge that were mysteriously placed there when i took a pair of pliers to try to squeeze the lever and tighten it up. anyway, a bit of emery quickly buffed out the dent and the fine sand paper gave it the original finish. at this point you have nothing to lose because you have a new one coming.
