^ that's the impression i was getting, but I couldn't find any solid info on them. A friend linked me the auction because he liked the watch - now I think i'll steer him clear.

Uhrkraft is a German company located in Essen.

They even have an outlet in Essen-Kettwig.

They make interesting designs at reasonable prices.

Ok, when I first read this thread I already was very sure about what "Uhr-Kraft" was going to be. A company selling ubiqitous designs of bad to mediocre quality on fleabay (don't we all love "newton and sons" and "trias" ), claiming "made in Germany".

Well, only partially true. Not all of their designs are unique, their movements are from asia (Miyota etc.). But: their retrogrades are true retrogrades and their tourbillion is a real tourbillion (and probably one of the cheapest true tourbies around). I checked out a few of their watches and found some of their designs very interesting. The quality of their watches seems to be good and from what I have heard (unverified) there actually exists a service for those watches.

So, iI guess they might be actually worth the money and if you are not too fixated on the luxury brands I would pluck up my courage and buy one for a test. I might even do it ...

Cheers

Olly

Uhr-Kraft produced a diver using the same case as the Zeno 300m Diver, using an ETA movement - basically the same watch with a different dial, with the winder at 4.30. It was a decent quality, basic diver which was good value.

I have seen an Uhr-Kraft Tourbillon in a shopping mall here. The price was 5000
