TeeTee Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 New to replicas, not so much to watches. I'm a sucker for accuracy as I'm a bit spoilt Not quite fussy about which PAM model as I believe it will be the first of a few. Have read a lot about modders/modding reps and such but it's all a bit confusing. Anyone care to keep it simple and just let me know who to contact and how much I'll be paying?
Guest watchbuff Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 This is a chance for us to give props to our favorite dealers. For a PAM GO with davidsen 11H that is modded with a real swiss movement, flush CG pin, super lumed, and fixed canon pin. His Crowns are also good to go since they are 2mm which is correct. No further modding needed. He sends it with 2 bands and extra spring bars! Expect to pay arounf $360.00 USD + Western Union or money bookers fees. I Love mine:
ehtolcad Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 she's a beaut watchbuff, can't disagree with that one. a lot of the modding is already done for you out of the box which is cool.
TeeTee Posted November 28, 2007 Author Report Posted November 28, 2007 Watchbuff, sweet watch and that avatar of PB is golden! My main concern is replica accuracy but being a replica expectations have to be realistic. I've read the dials on the Davidsen PAMs aren't quite accurate - but are there any better alternatives? Also spotted this on the for sale forum and seems to be modded to the fullest - http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=60456 Thus which would be more accurate a replica, the used 177H or the Davidsen 11H?
kosemkamtsan Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 If it is accuracy you want, don't get a sandwich dial 111 or 112. The number 2 on these dials is way off and is a major give-away. for accuracy, go for a radiomir, a sausage dial 111 or 112, or the 127 a.k.a 1950 (fiddy).
