I want a Pilot's watch, center seconds with a 6497 or similar movement

I think Steinhart makes one, my understanding is that Touby may have one coming out soon, who else? I don't care about brand, as long as it is a decently made piece. Actually I may prefer that the dial has no branding at all.

this is a bit difficult cause this Unitas with center second upgrade is VERY expensive... you will see Steinharts 1.500euro watch... and this is a very good price for a center second Unitas... but this price is only realiseable with this POOOOOOR Steinhart case, glass and dial (all made in asia). I saw so many case and glass... but this Steinhart case + glass is the most poor quality what i ever saw.

Have you looked at Stowa and Laco? They are 6498s...center seconds offerings...

I am also waiting to see Tourby's larger case Pilot offerings....say 45mm.....with date perhaps.... :please:;)

I have bought Steinhart NavB Limited ed few weeks ago.

Is not a 6497, but 2824-2, center second, and no brand.

Cost 600$, and is really an awsome watch (i don't feel case and glass so poor ....)

Golfman...that is very nice looking. How is the lume on it? I have been very close to purchasing this model from Steinhart as I love the size, the dial and that big, fat onion crown....

cheers

Yeah, that's similar to what i'm looking for. Does that have a display caseback? Looks like a deal for $600 with the box and 2 straps. Where did you get that, online?
