Silix vs. TrustyTime

Hey guys, I am comparing these 2 watches:

I do not understand why Silix is so much cheaper, they are both very good quality looking, they both have the ETA-2836, So What Gives?

I want to be clear, it's just an observation, and it's a fact, i.e We don't see photos of the watch to see what the date font is.

Personal suggestion before doing a move, ask for more photos. It cost nothing just to ask.

The Sillix version doesn't have an accurate bezel font.

However,I'm no expert.

You'll probably find the watches are very similar, if not the same. The difference is in the operation and service offered by Jay (Silix) and Trusty (Andrew). One clue to the differences between the two can be seen from the websites, however, it doesn't mean that the watches offered by Silix are of a lesser quality. Andrew is much quicker at responding to emails where Jay sometimes takes a little longer. You pays yer money and yer takes yer choice... I've had watches from both Silix and Jay and prefer to pay less, even if I have to wait a little longer for my watch to arrive...

These watches are exact the same, and from the same factory serial D320840.

It are cases from early 2004 but with upgrade's from a better dial, crown, bezel insert, pearl etc........

I bought mine by jay as also the rolls 007 green bezel, witch is the same case with different dial and ofcorse bezel.

By the way the bracelet 93288 is much better than the noob one, witch i also have, especially the claps, much overal better finish

On the silex, the outline on the markers appears to be too thick.

Also, I have recently bought Trusty's "Perfect Anniversary Sub". Yesterday I walked into a jewler, handed it to him with a BS story about someone giving it to me and asked him if it was a gen. He picked it up, looked at it and said "I dont even need to open it, I can tell by the look and feel that its a genuine.

Just my experience...and the customer service from Trusty was outstanding.
