SBOB Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 Well, finally after 12mths of just hanging in there today it finally wouldnt bite so the crown is sticking nicely out from the case now, the fix... i never use this watch in water so im assuming the 'remove pin and file down a small amount' trick would be the best for an aesthetically pleasing crown near body result correct? if so, is this a 'to tricky for a novice' technique or is it as simple as 'remove case back, press crown/pin removal button, file and replace' anyone every posted a step by step on this, pictures etc ? also, as i posted this over on R.G. some people have suggested 'fixing' it instead of the simple way, but i was under the impression that the original parts dont fit...also how much does a new crown and tube cost compared to the 200US cost of the watch? Thanks for any tips
FxrAndy Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 There was a post some where here with the gen part numbers that you require to get i am not sure how much they were but i would say that would be the better fix than just shortening the stem.
