rogerthat
Has anyone swapped a movement in a Bentley rep. Asian 7750 highbeat to a 25 Jewel Swiss 7750 I know the counter hand is a different size, true with all swaps of these 2 movements, but in terms of this watch is there any reason why this won't work? Any extra gears or something I don't know about? For example I know many have switched the IWC CD, but the HBB is near impossible to make the same switch. I would not do the work myself BTW but don't want to send the watch and parts out if it is not going to work right. I am assuming this will fix or at least improve the existing sunken datewheel? Thinking of swapping to an ETA Day /Date -even though font and font color would not beaccurate to Gen (ETA - black letters/numbers of course) Any thoughts about that. Watch in question is the bentley GT. Cheers, M
yodap
UP! Hi! I've got the same question but in this case the 6.75, and wanna replace it with an ETA 2892 (chrono, big date). Is it possible to keep the old date fonts (from the asian one) ?
rogerthat
Mine worked, but was a swap of an Asian 7750 to a Swiss 7750, this swap has been completed and I am happy with the end result. Your question on the other hand, my guess would be no. The 6.75 has an Asian 7750 I believe? Don't believe an ETA 2892 would be a swap, that is a totally different movement so there could be numerous problems. Cheers, M

Cheers, M Yes, it's a HARDMODDED A7750, which functions like an ETA 2892 actually (big date at 12, chronograph with running seconds at 3)... I don't think we could hardmod an ETA 7750. What do you think?
b16a2
It is possible, but not practicable. I had a highly modified Hublot (Swiss 7750 modded to be a tricompax layout) To then get the seconds running at three would take some doing, not even sure if it would be possible. It it were possible, it would be very very expensive, it would be worth buying the real thing.

Thanks for the info, but I even didn't want to hardmod it, just wanted to replace it by the ETA one with the same features (big date, secs at 3, chrono). But the diameter and the height might be different of the hardmodded A7750 and the ETA 2892. Does anybody know something about this movement?
