maulermacall@hotmail.com
Hi Thanks for reading this, I've become hooked on this forum after only joining recently and couldnt help myself purchasing my first decent replica a $900 Hublot Big Bang. It came yesterday, and its to die for, Im going to purchase some pictures shortly. I've had more compliments about the Hublot than my geunine Rolex and Omega X-55 in the space of only one day! However, im unsure as to whether its faulty, it stops every forty minutes. The seller whose been great but speaks very basic English, says I need to wind the crown. Any other Hublot owners had any problems? Should i wind the crown clockwise or anti clockwise?! Sorry for the noob questions! P.S thanks all for contributing to an excellent and informative forum
Daytona4me
You have an automatic watch. What he is wanting you to do is turn it about 20 times and then , wear it around.. as long as you are moving it will continue to wind itself. If you are taking it off after winding a little bit, you have not built up enough power reserve and thus it will stop working after 3/4 hour. After you wear it all day, and then the next day, you will have it fully wound probably and then it will last for 36-45 hours without the chrono functions engaged, if left sitting. Ahh thanks ever so much! I was taking it off quite a bit just to admire it.
Daytona4me
that rotor spins around and around which winds it. I take them in my hand and use a flick of the wrist motion while I'm watching TV. You will be surprised how much it winds it after 15 minutes or so. If you have done this and wore it a while, and it still stops after 45 minutes, you probably have a problem, the rotor may not be attached like it should... but I think you are fine... enjoy your new watch!
