Ironically a genuine Panerai bracelet will not fit a genuine Panerai, which was originally supplied on a strap, unless aftermarket micro-adapters or end-links are used. The genuine braclet has projections to either side of the end-links, which slot into grooves on the underside of the lugs of the genuine 'bracelet' Panerai models. The strap models do not have this groove in the lugs so cannot be easily fitted with the genuine bracelet. However the bracelet models can be fitted with a leather strap in the normal manner. I have never owned a gen bracelet but if I remember correctly the gen bracelet actually tapers to the clasp unlike the rep but someone else will have to confirm.
