Leifhaus
If it's fake I bet the seller doesn't know it. 160209015433
doc savage
Lately I can spot the low pearl on the UPO from across the room, I kinda want a gen insert. I informed the seller, maybe they were duped but that story about it being an exchange does give them an easy way out. They claim it even has some factory warranty left! Rxus
he has no clue or a grade A+++ scammer! Even I the relative noob, can spot the glaring flaws.
doc savage
Five hours to go, I reported it as a phony. Is it an automated process, like craigslist's flagging system?

doc savage
Looks like it sold for about $1750--not a bad deal if it was real.
NuTymer
So if you get an UPO, put a gen bracelet for ~$450 and a gen insert for $XX (no idea where you'd get a gen insert though), you pretty much end up with a rep that can't be called out even when handled in person by an AD, all for well under a grand, eh? doc savage
You don't need the bracelet, but you would need a gen insert, hands, dial, double AR crystal, and caseback to make a "perfect" rep. By the time you have it all installed....
doc savage
OK, so the buyer got hosed in this auction. I was able to get in touch with them when they left feedback, and today I got this response: Thank you XXXXXXX, I have discovered these problems that you have stated, and I thank you for communicating with me. I would like to know what other ways there are to check authenticity if you are willing to share them. The one that really tipped me off was the lack of power reserve. But I do see the mis-location of the pearl and cannot yet see the Logo problem, but will further inspect. What do you know about taking this to the next level with ebay? I would appreicate any help you can provide. How did you become so knowledgeable? Thanks again for everything! So what do I tell this poor guy? What kind of options does he have, if the seller refuses to take responsibility?
